Instagram Worthy Cafe The Moon and Sixpence Coffee House in Korea

Hi guys! It's been a while since I last updated about cafe review. Exploring a good cafe is always in my to-do-list, there are many cafes have yet to be discovered!

I really love cafe hopping seems like a great option to release stress and fatigue during the weekend. I know most of the people love to see a cafe review because we always looking for a nice and Instagrammable cafe for brunch or coffee! Am I right? (~˘▾˘)~

Anyway, I had a short trip to Gapyeong last month with my husband. I can say that the trip was worthwhile as we discovered something super interesting, The Moon and Sixpence Coffee House. Why is it interesting? Please keep reading!

Are you a fan of delicious bread and a good drink? The Moon and Sixpence Coffee House (달과6펜스카페) will be your choice for a good brunch and drinks. The Moon and Sixpence Coffee House are located in Gapyeong (가평). They have almost all sort of drinks and bread that will surely fit your taste-bud! So if you are looking for a place for gathering or meet up this is the place to go!

My husband found this cafe from some food bloggers, and it rates good, so we decided to give it a try. You can see the directions from Naver Maps, Google Maps or Kakao Maps to find the place.

If you're a bread lover, you have probably heard of this place before.

This cafe sells all sorts of homemade bread.

One of the best things about this cafe was it has easy parking just outside, and it’s upstairs away from traffic and noise.

Stylish interior in wood.

I like a cafe with wooden elements because it creates a sense of warmth and calmness from the viewing.

You could get lost for hours reading through their small library of books.

A few of the chestnuts for public display.

They have a variety of drinks, meals, and desserts.

They have indoor and outdoor seating.

Lots of nice home baking and very fresh bread.

I fell in love with the place as soon as I walked through inside the room!

Beautiful space with small balcony and large windows overlooking the garden of the street below.

The interior was as beautiful as it's exterior, with the inside having a sort of homely feel.

I want my living room to look just like The Moon and Sixpence cafe. ~(˘▾˘)~

What an incredible place so many amazing collections of flowers and plants.

The Moon and Sixpence Coffee House have a very unique concept of the cafe. This cafe is also Instagrammable and always full of people even though lunchtime already past.

I noticed The Moon and Sixpence Coffee House cafe has another interesting fact is their garden is located on the basement floor. C'mon baby, let's get down to have a look around!

Perfect for people watching.

You can listen to the sounds of birds and listen to the sound of water flowing from this lake.

We ordered Cheese Ciabatta Bread, Red Bean Bread, Americano and Ginger Tea.
My husband said the flavor of the coffee itself was just alright.

I'm gonna say, usually I'm not a fan of red bean bread, but this red bean bread is sooo good! Best to share it with friends or family. My only complaint was that the cheese ciabatta bread was served to be a bit dry and they're very stingy with cheese.

Take a look at the ginger teacup! This ginger teacup is so unique! The ginger tea was too sweet, so I add a bit more hot water. I personally love tea, but you can still find nice coffee here for the coffee lover.

After finishing our meals, we go take a walk around the garden and take some photos.

Look what I found! There are quite a few variety of animals statue around the garden.

I love this little place, it's the hidden gem around here! Let's take a look inside!

Do you know what makes The Moon and Sixpence Coffee House really special? The Age of Shadows (Miljeong/ 밀정) was filmed here!

The Age of Shadows (밀정/ Miljeong) is a 2016 South Korean period action thriller film directed by Kim Jee-Woon and written by Lee Ji-min and Park Jong-Dae. The film stars Song Kang-ho and Gong Yoo.

It was selected as the South Korean entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards but it was not nominated. The film won the Best Picture award in the Action Features category at the 2016 Fantastic Fest held in Austin, Texas.

WOW! It's amazing! The inside looks like a train. \(^o^)/

The interior is designed to make you feel like you are sitting inside the train.

This is VIP room on a train.

Overall, The Moon and Sixpence Coffee House cafe are one of my favorite places to enjoy red bean bread. We love their red bean and really can't go anywhere else.

If you want some sweet and yummy bread as your breakfast, the red bean bread is the best choice! Surprisingly their red bean bread is different from with the usual one. It’s really good, natural tasting, healthier, and the flavor of the red bean really shines through. It is great for those who love red bean paste. You won't be disappointed unless you absolutely hate red bean paste. It is a little pricey but well worth the atmosphere and the friendliness.

If you like a unique and cozy cafe with a nice ambiance like me, you should check out The Moon and Sixpence Coffee House Cafe which located at Gapyeong (가평). I went on the weekday and surprisingly the crowd was fine and I had the best seating.
