Experience at Madame Tussauds in Bangkok

Hi everyone! As I promised you in the previous article, I will write a new article about my travel to Thailand. Today I finally manage to find some time to write a new article and edit my pictures in Bangkok for you guys. I will try my best to write up my pending travel posts before I flew again.

My younger sister and I took our first trip to Thailand together in March 2018. I know this article has been too long but it doesn't hurt to share it for you right?

I made the biggest mistake in life by bringing my sister to travel with me. Actually, I asked my mom to travel together with me but my father never allows my mom to go anywhere and my mom told me to bring my sister traveling with me so I had no choice but to go with her. If you want to know what happened to me and why I said like that, please keep reading until the end article!

We had breakfast first at Bakmi GM in the airport before leaving for Thailand.

After we finished breakfast we moved to the Krispy Kreme Donuts cafe while waiting for our flight schedule. Since we are still too full, we only ordered oreo frappe and donuts to share.

Oreo frappe was wayyyyy too sweet.

When we were waiting for the flight my sister asked me to take a picture with her.

So on the first day, we arrived in Thailand, we were really exhausted so we only bought fried rice and some sandwiches at the convenient store and headed straight to the hotel.

This is the Le Pan Banana. These little soft sponge cakes that are filled with banana-flavored filling. A tad too sweet for my liking.

The pineapple pie was delicious with real pineapple fruit inside.

This was the worst sandwich I've ever had in my life.

We tried them but their taste was nothing special.

On the next day, we wake up early in the morning to have breakfast in the hotel and then headed to go to Madame Tussauds Museum. Madame Tussaud is located on the 4th floor in one of the Siam Towers. After hearing so many famous people's wax statues, finally, I was there to see them with my bare eyes itself.

A wax figure of Britney Spears is displayed at the front side of the entrance of Madame Tussauds.

Madame Tussauds is a world-famous chain of museums containing incredible life-like waxwork figures of celebrities and other notably famous people. There are sports stars, movie stars, TV personalities and medical heroes on display.

Madame Tussauds History:
The Madame Tussauds Museum is an old-fashioned wax museum that has made a story since more than 250 years ago. Based on the history, the real Madame Tussauds created the first wax statue of her in 1777. She made the French writer named Voltaire as her first amazing work. Then the first museum officially opened in 1835 in London. Until today, the wax museums of Madame Tussauds have been established in many countries.

Ir. Soekarno was the first President of Indonesia, serving from 1945 to 1967.

Each waxwork has informative information boards providing extra insight and background about the person on display.

Anggun Cipta Sasmi is an Indonesian-born French-naturalised singer, songwriter, and television personality. Born in Jakarta, she began performing at the age of seven and recorded a children's album two years later.

YES, I'm proud of being Indonesian!

Now that I’m feeling really sentimental from looking at this photo, I’d like to say that I'm really disappointed in her—I really thought I could trust her! I’m really having a hard time traveling with her because she always stressed me out. My character and she were very different so that made me very overwhelmed in facing her.

I tried hard to enjoy my traveling but I couldn't because of her behavior which made me so sick of her. In the end, one day I almost passing out on the street and my gastroesophageal reflux disease is getting worse, so I changed our return date to Indonesia.

When I go traveling I always want to do many things, I want to go further, travel longer, explore, etc. I’m really into backpacking, traveling doesn’t usually mean “resting” for me. The only person I can travel with is my husband really!

I will not continue this story again because I don't want to remember the past and I'm trying hard to forget all the bad things that happened to me when in Thailand. I will only try to remember the good things.

Check check, one two, one two... Can I sing a song for you? LOL

Contains a 5D movie theatre like Ice Age.

The last part of the visit to Madame Tussauds Bangkok was a 4D cinema with a 9-minute short “Ice Age” film. During the movie, you will enjoy unexpected features such as light water splashes, shaken seats, air shoots out and the snowflakes falling down, all of them making the ice age atmosphere so realistic.

Although I did not take photos of all the wax figures at Madame Tussauds Bangkok, I think I took most of them. I skipped those that were being blocked by people. I have to admit I have no patience waiting for people to finish posing with the statues.

After we finished the Madame Tussauds museum, we went out to lunch at the Food Republic. This food court on the second floor of the SIAM CENTER.

The food is OK but the prices are a little high by food court standards.

Chrysanthemum tea

Overall, a good experience although a bit overpriced. The Madame Tussauds museum should become one of the destinations to go when you travel to Bangkok, Thailand. It is an amazing wax museum and all people amaze of the wax statues exhibited because they are made to be kinds of public figures in perfectly look like the real figures. I really had fun visiting the place. It was really worth it for me.

My advice is to buy your ticket online because the queue is much shorter for online tickets. I booked Madame Tussauds ticket via Klook. And try to go in the morning so you can avoid crowds and reserve about 5 hours to see the whole museum.
